Aloft Cabernet Sauvignon

The Aloft Story:aloft vinyard

Produced by the iconic Mondavi Family in Napa Valley, California. In 2009, Marc Mondavi added Howell Mountain to the family’s portfolio and launched the first mountain Cabernet Sauvignon.  Aloft is named after the property’s altitude and location above the valley floor, and is now managed by four, 4th generation Mondavi sisters.

Aloft 2014

Cabernet Sauvignon, Howell Mountain, Napa Valley

Tasting Notes:

The 2014 Aloft displays vibrant notes of blueberry, blackberry, boysenberry, cocoa powder and black tea leaf.  The wine is rich and complex with hints of tobacco leaf, dark cocoa, cedar and clove – reminiscent to a newly opened cigar box. A touch of sweet molasses combined with mouthwatering acidity complements the plush, opulent tannins.  This full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon will surely age for decades to come.
